Jebel Ali Golf Resort
Known as Dubai’s Only True Resort, the award-winning 5 star Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa, combines exceptional leisure options with professional meeting facilities, surrounded by 128 acres of stunning natural features. This 5 star golf resort in Dubai is set on the golden shores of the Arabian Gulf and features its own private beach, making it the perfect choice for family holidays or business stays. When staying at the Resort, guests may choose accommodation in the Jebel Ali Hotel or the luxurious Palm Tree Court & Spa, a member of ‘The Leading Hotels of the World’.
Developments around the Resort
The Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa is situated approximately two kilometres from the trunk of The Palm Jebel Ali. This extraordinary man-made island in the shape of a date palm tree, will be the location for a variety of entertainment and residential complexes once it is completed. Next to The Palm Jebel Ali is Dubai Waterfront, dubbed the world’s largest waterfront development, which will feature a series of commercial and residential communities.
Development of Dubai Waterfront and The Palm Jebel Ali continues to the north west of the resort with land profiling works the predominant activity. A causeway which connects The Palm to the mainland has been completed and connects approximately 400 metres from the border of the Resort. Although the island’s crescent and the vessels associated with creating this extraordinary project are visible from the resort at a distance, they do not cause visual disturbance for our guests. Boats are apparent on the horizon although at such a distance from the resort do not cause either audio or visual disturbance. As one of the largest manmade projects ever undertaken, guests should be aware that some audio disturbances may be encountered at times.
Dubai Waterfront have erected their boundary fence to the west of the resort running from the seafront to Sheikh Zayed Road, although this does not affect guests at the Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa logistically or visually. The boundary of Dubai Waterfront is at the nearest point approximately half a kilometre from the resort and at this time is not affecting guests’ enjoyment of this self contained property.
Palm Tree Court & Spa Extension
Along with the positioning of the Palm Tree Court & Spa as a member of ‘The Leading Hotels of the World’, comes another very exciting project for this beautiful property as the hotel will be enhanced and expanded with a luxury extension. The 76 new luxury units at the Palm Tree Court & Spa will include a selection of junior suites in addition to some very special one bedroom and two bedroom suites as part of the new inventory.
The new project will be located on the sand stretch on the western border of the resort (Abu Dhabi / Dubai Waterfront side of Palm Tree Court & Spa). Hoarding will be placed to screen off the area which will be affected in future however the first phase of the project (late February to March 2008) will comprise the fairly academic process of soil testing which will not cause any disturbance to our guests in the resort.
Once physical construction of the new wing commences in the next few weeks, all access to the site will be from a separate entrance outside the resort and work will take place during daylight hours only from 10am to 5.30pm. While a firm date for the physical construction has not been finalised, it is expected to commence around early June 2008 although at present conditions we do not anticipate any significant impact to the enjoyment of our guests during their stay at the Palm Tree Court & Spa.
In our efforts to continue the upgrading and beautification of the Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa, we are extremely pleased to advise you that the Club Joumana Sports Café and marina pavements will undergo a light refurbishment. This relaxed restaurant/bar overlooking the marina will receive an interior decoration update which will start from mid-May until approximately 10 July. As the restaurant and surrounding areas are removed from the immediate hotel vicinity we do not envisage any inconvenience or disturbance for your guests.
With regards to the Palm Tree Court & Spa extension, we are pleased to advise you that the process of soil testing for the extension’s standalone restaurant will be conducted from 24 – 27 May. As with the previous soil testing phase, the area will naturally be hoarded off and the process will only be conducted between 10am and 6pm with very limited audio disturbance.
